Due to the closing of the Metcalf & 91st Street Borders Bookstore (Overland Park, KS), the All Good Books discussion group has sought a new meeting location. After checking with bookstores and libraries, and trying to keep the meetings in the same geographical area of Johnson County, KS; we’ve scheduled the Community of Christ Church Library (79th and Mission Road in Prairie Village) for the April 14, 2011 and May 12, 2011 meetings.

The group will then meet at the Leawood Pioneer Library meeting room (just across the road and North of Town Center Mall) which is reserved for the Thursday, June 9, 2011. On May 1st, we can request the Leawood Library meeting room for the July meeting and on the first of each subsequent month, we can request one more month out.

 So, that’s the plan. We’ll meet at the church until the Leawood Library meeting room is available and any month when the Library is not available, we’ll meet in the Church Library.

 So our next meeting will be at 7 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Community of Christ Church, 7842 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS (913 648-7695) in the Church Library. We’ll discuss The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley.

By the way, once we move to the Leawood Library, there’s a bookstore (the Barnes & Noble where we use to meet) across the street and the Library is fairly accessible from the expressway (travel South after taking the I-435 & Nall exit). Meeting at that location will enable club members to roam the stacks before or after the meeting (the library closes at 9 PM so we will end our meetings by 8:45 PM). The library also has free WiFi access for anyone with a laptop, smart phone, tablet and so on.

We look forward to seeing you on the 14th of April at the Community of Christ Church and then again in May with our first meeting at the library in June!
